How to get to Sevnica?
Sevnica is located in the heart of Slovenia, along the Sava River, between Ljubljana and Zagreb. It is located about 80 km southeast of Ljubljana and 40 km from Celje.
Sevnica is accessible via several main road connections:
- From Ljubljana: along the highway, towards Zagreb, exit at Trebnje or Krško, then follow local roads (about 1 hour drive)
- From Maribor: direction Celje – Šentjur – Planina pri Sevnici (about 1 hour and 20 minutes)
- From Zagreb: direction Bregana – Obrežje – Krško – Sevnica (about 1 hour and 30 minutes)
Parking lots are available near the main attractions of the town.
Sevnica is located along the important railway connection Ljubljana – Dobova – Zagreb. From the Sevnica railway station, you will only have to walk for a few minutes to reach the centre of town. More information: Slovenian Railways
